The Williamsburg Community Chapel and The Colonial Heritage in Williamsburg!

This is why I photograph weddings! Beautiful, fun people… makes my day not feel like work at all! If fact, I walked away from this day being blessed. The day started with the girls getting ready at the bride’s family river house. The preparations then moved on to the Williamsburg Community Chapel for the wedding ceremony. After quietly sneaking into the brides room to capture a few images of the girls making sure that Becca was fully covered in prayer before she walked, I headed back to find out what the guys were up to. Not knowing exactly what room the guys were in, I walked through a maze of dark and quiet rooms and hallways to find the guys taking a knee to make sure that Joe started his married life on the right foot. Not only was the bridal party beautiful, but they were talented too, as the wedding ceremony included some beautiful music and songs performed by members of the wedding party. After the nuptials, huge cheers were heard, and tears flowed as the bridal party congratulated the newlyweds. While the guests were enjoying the cocktail hour at The Colonial Heritage Club in Williamsburg the storm clouds rolled in as we shot a few portraits of the bride and groom. The band filled the dance floor all night after the guests enjoyed dinner in the beautiful ballroom of the clubhouse. A bubble sendoff of the newlyweds capped off the evening. Congratulations to Becca & Joe!

A beautiful Williamsburg bridal portrait of Becca. I usually don’t show bridal portraits because of spoiling the surprise, but Becca was married on Sunday. I will have a few posts following of her unforgettable wedding in the coming days (and yes, those are real ducks).

The Freight Shed at Yorktown Riverwalk Landing!

This wedding had all of the elements of a perfect wedding. A stunning bride, beautiful weather, fantastic families, gorgeous flowers, delicious food, great entertainment, lots of love and flawless execution. I could go on and on, but weddings like this make my job so easy. Kate and the girls started their day with Jennifer from Skin Care to Black Tie Affair for a little hair and makeup at The Duke of York Hotel in Yorktown. Meanwhile, all of the little details were falling into place at The Freight Shed along the Yorktown Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown. All of the “little details” include the hard work and flawless execution of another perfectly planned wedding by Shayna from Williamsburg Wedding Design. Cathy from The Flower Cupboard in Williamsburg, delivered beautiful flowers again (including the amazing red peonies for Kate’s bouquet). Charlie Little was there to make sure another one of wedding cakes was just right. Chris from DJ On The Side was also at there early to set up the sound equipment for the wedding ceremony and the evenings reception entertainment. After the ceremony, Kate and Brian took a stroll down the Riverwalk and out on the docks with the George P. Coleman Memorial Bridge in the background. Family and invited guests then headed inside the Freight Shed for introductions and the couples first dance as husband and wife. The Riverwalk Restaurant prepared the delicious dinner for all to enjoy. The evening finished out with toasts and dancing into the night to celebrate the newlyweds new life together as husband and wife. Congratulations to Kate & Brian!

The Chapel of The Sir Christopher Wren Building at The College of William and Mary and The Freight Shed!

Another day of beautiful weather and fantastic families set the mood for Julie and Chris’s wedding day. The girls started their day at European Beauty Concepts for a little pampering while the guys relaxed at the Marl Inn in Yorktown. Shayna from Williamsburg Wedding Design executed another a perfect wedding and of course made my job easy. The Chapel of The Sir Christopher Wren Building at The College of William and Mary was the backdrop for the wedding ceremony. Guests from around the globe then made their way down the Colonial Parkway to the Freight Shed along the Yorktown Riverwalk Landing for the wedding reception. The Catering Company prepared another delicious spread and Cindy’s Cakery supplied the wedding cake, while Dynasty Entertainment provided the band for the evening. When a party like this happens, no one walking along the Riverwalk is safe and many where pulled in to join in on the celebration and dancing. What a fun evening. Congratulations to Julie & Chris!

A perfect day at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Yorktown and The Williamsburg Inn!

Sometimes war and deployment can get in the way of planning a wedding. Luckily, Ernie made it home safe and sound after 2 deployments to marry the woman of his dreams. Shayna from Williamsburg Wedding Design planned a perfect wedding and kept the day running smoothly (and made my day so easy). On a day with perfect weather, Krissy and Ernie were married at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Yorktown. Family and invited guests then made their way over to The Regency Dining Room at the Williamsburg Inn for the cocktail hour and wedding reception. Clark Taggart from Colonial Williamsburg out did himself with the flowers for the reception and Kathy Cannon and the staff at The Williamsburg Inn again delivered unmatched service and served an unbelievable 5 course meal. After a hilarious speech from the bestman, DJ Mike from DJ On The Side spun the tunes and kept the dance floor jumping all night. Congratulations to Krissy & Ernie!
