An Italian romance at the Barboursville Vineyards!

An American girl travels to Italy, meets an Italian boy and falls in love. Sounds like a romance novel, but it is the true life love story of Jillian and Roberto. Family and close friends braved the snow and some even traveled from Italy to join the bride and groom for their special day. The Rev. Gerald Fogarty from UVA performed the wedding ceremony at the Holy Comforter Catholic Church in Charlottesville. Scripture readings and the vows in Italian brought tears to the eyes. Everyone then made the short trip to the beautiful snow covered Barboursville Vineyards for the wedding reception. Guest enjoyed a breathtaking sunset while tasting the fruits of the winemakers labor along with hors d’oeuvre before enjoying an exquisite 5 course meal prepared by the chefs at the Vineyard’s Palladio Restaurant. Tearful toasts were made between courses, and again more tears. The bride and groom then enjoyed a dance together and with their parents before cutting the cake and ending their memorable day. Congratulations to Jillian & Roberto!
